Spring Term 1
Explorers
Our Quest this half term is all about explorers. This Quest has a Geography and History focus. The children will be learning about explorers from long ago to the present day, find out about where they travelled to and why their discoveries were significant. Please have a look at our Parent Overview for more information.The trip (to enhance this topic) is to Hidden Woods where the children will be having a day of Forest School based experiences.
Homework and Information
Weekly Info and Dates
P.E. - continues to be on Mondays and Thursdays - please come to school in P.E. kits on these days.
Forest School - Tuesdays - bring wellies and a warm coat.
Reading - please read at least four times a week. Reading books are changed on Mondays and Thursdays. Accelerated Readers - need to ask to do a quiz during EMA. This can be done as soon as they complete a book. Remember they can do a quiz on any book they have read at home (not just their book from the library).
Spelling - Ed Shed is set every Friday. Most Year Twos have a spelling test on Fridays.
Quest Homework- this is set 1/2 termly. It is expected that the children will spend a fair bit of time on these projects to show their very best work to the class. The Tudor Houses were fabulous so I know that you are helping the children to achieve the best they can with this.
