General School Pictures
One of the main benefits of our Link is to enable our children to learn about lifestyles from another country and improve their understanding of global issues. We work closely with the staff from Mufulira and whenever possible, they send messages and pictures which we will share within the pages set up here.
The information comes first hand from teachers at Mufulira Primary.
The following video clips show Alice, who is a pupil from the school, discussing use of water. Most people do have access to mains water. However, the flow of water is frequently cut off by the authorities during the drier seasons and its expensive. Many families have decided to sink a well to make things easier. For those families with a garden or an area to grow food, water use is high so the wells are very useful.

Although it is a little tricky to hear Alice's words, it is interesting to see how daily tasks are often completed outside. That amazing sunshine dries everything quickly!
Visual aids
Mufulira Mine Primary School have added visual aids to their computer room to support with their learning. How are the similar and how are they different to visual aids used in Bruton Primary School?
When we are able to travel out to Mufulira we will also be taking some software for them to have on their computers. If you have any learning resources, preferably on CD, that you no longer use that we can share with them, please pass them on to Mrs Newbury or Mrs Davis in school.
