Photos of our learning

We had great fun building our own Tudor houses for our Quest homework. We then went onto the playground and recreated The Great Fire of London. We saw just how quickly the fire spread because the houses were so close together, which is exactly what happened in London in 1666.

We had a Great Fire of London workshop today. Petra from Divergent Drama came to help us bring our topic to life! We dressed up as the characters and acted out famous scenes from the Great Fire of London.

In RE, we created some Happy Holi art work. We use squirty bottles and paint - it was great fun!

Today Firefighter Lee came to visit us. He told us all about smoke alarms and taught us how to "Stop, drop and roll". He showed us his firefighting uniform and "Mike 4" his support vehicle.

In Forest School today we used natural objects to create our own stick men. It was very muddy but we had lots of fun!

Rocksteady Music School came to rock out with us this morning! We had fun learning all about the different electric instruments and some of us even had a go ourselves.

We have been learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali in RE. We worked in small groups and made our own Rangoli patterns using rice and lentils.

We have started learning about the different seasons. During our Forest School session we chose a tree that we will study throughout the year. We also looked around for signs of Autumn.

We have started reading the story of 'Vlad and the Great Fire of London'. We had to put our detective hats on and follow the clues that were left around the classroom. We discovered that all the clues linked to The Great Fire of London and then we met Boxton the rat!

We have started creating actions for the story of 'Vlad and the Great Fire of London'
