Superheroes and Real Life Heroes
This term our topic is 'Superheroes and Real Life Heroes'. Please look at our termly overviews for a more in-depth view of what the children will be learning about, experiencing and covering. Of course, our planning occasionally adapts based on the children's own learning and what they want to explore.
This term PE will be on Mondays (multi-skills outside -so wear warm clothes as the weather gets colder) and Thursdays - swimming for the first few weeks and then dance - so swimming kits initially and then PE kits.
Reading books are changed on Mondays and Thursdays unless your child is doing Accelerated Reader, in which case they bring their book back (and do a quiz during EMA) once they have finished reading their book.
Spelling homework the list of words for the half term is given out at the beginning of term and the children will be tested on Fridays. These words will be practised in class too and also your child can practise them on Spelling Shed- this is for the children in the Year Two spelling group only.
