Photographs of our learning

On Friday, as part of well-being week, we spoke about kindness. We talked about how being kind to others makes us feel and how we feel when someone is kind to us. We read the story 'Kindness Grows', then we made our own Kindness Tree in the classroom.

We have had some marvellous creations and amazing efforts for our Explorers homework.

We had a great time using Chrome Music Lab! We used the Kandsinky programme to investigate pitch and create our own melodies.

Compasses.

Today we found out about compasses. Lots of explorers use compasses to find their way while on their expeditions. We found out about the points of a compass and played some games where we needed to go to different points using Mrs Hambleton's instructions. Next we made our own compasses using a bowl of water, cork, a magnet and a needle!

Lots of fun in PE today as we got the big climbing apparatus out for the first time. We had to see different ways in which we could travel around each piece of equipment, practising our jumping and landing.

We had such a fun time at Hidden Woods. We made bird feeders from pine cones, clay models and toasted marshmallows over the fire. We also played in the mud kitchen, on the swing and on the cargo net. A great (but tiring!) time was had by all.

Playing 'What's The Time Mr Wolf?' at Forest School this week.

A fun science lesson exploring our senses!
