Response to Covid 19
Mufulira Primary is also closed at the moment but the teachers have managed to capture a couple of images from the community.
Just as we are familiar with:
'These are facial masks made from different materials including chitenge cuttings. Tailors are making and selling these for K5' ( 5 Zambian Kwacha, the equivalent of around 22p! )
Our Zambian friends teach us a lot about recycling and in today's situation these hand washing facilities are even more important. The white container used to hold paint. A tap has been fitted and a crate used for a stand.
Returning to school
On the 27th May, the staff came together for a short staff meeting in readiness for the return to school on the 1st June. What can you see they are doing to keep each other safe? I can see them social distancing, wearing masks and having the meeting outside. It seems we have had similar advice in both Zambia and England.
