Classroom photos

In Quest we have been looking at aerial maps, today we analysed a map of Lyme Regis then recreated it using various resources found around the classroom! If you look carefully at the finished pieces you can see the pier, roads, houses, sea and even some lighthouses.

Inflatables day! Luckily the rain held off for us and we had a lot of fun bouncing and sliding!

Lots of fun using the K'nex during some free play on a Friday afternoon!

In Art we had a go at sculpting clay to make fossils. We each made an imprint and an ammonite.

Well done to every single child for their achievements on Sports Day! Such fantastic efforts by all!!

Our Zambian visitors have recently joined us for two weeks, today Goodson taught us lots of things about African culture, including some commonly used phrases and how they greet one another. Goodson also told us about how everything has it's own rythym, we did lots of clapping and singing along.

The children have been really engaged with this term's topic 'Seaside Treasures' and have been bringing in their own treasures from home to share with the class!

Ahead of our trip to Lyme Regis, we have been learning about Mary Anning and the important work she did. Check out our mind maps showing all the facts we have learnt!

In maths the Year Ones have been learning how to double 2-digit numbers, it's always good fun when we're allowed to draw on the tables!

In ICT this term we have been looking at programming animations. We have been using Scratch Jr on the iPads, most recently we have learned how to choose new Sprites, change their appearance and pick a suitable background.

In maths the year 1s have been looking at counting in 2s - look at our 2 times table cubes!

In geography we discussed the difference between human and physical features, we then sorted some photos of Lyme Regis into the two categories.

In English we sequenced the story of The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch, here is an example of a year 1 and year 2 piece of writing!

We spent some time colouring in seashells to go on our new 'Seaside Treasures' display

The children were shocked to come into class and find rubbish all over the carpet! There were also some mysterious footprints... This was our introduction to our focus text 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch'

Some of our activities in Outdoor Provision!
