Community Concert involving pupils from Bruton Primary School
Last Sunday, Bruton Primary pupils combined with children from local Prep Schools and St Mary’s Children’s Choir formed a children’s choir at the Community Choral Concert held in the King’s Bruton Memorial Hall. The Children’s Choir supported Bruton Choral Society and King’s Bruton Choir performing Music from Freedom, composed by Alexander L’Estrange who was there accompanying with his professional band. It was a hugely uplifting and memorable event and the Bruton Primary singers loved the experience and were a credit to the School.

Rocksteady came to our school for another impact assembly. Jamie talked us through the instruments and the sounds that they can make. We joined in singing some familiar songs. KS2 then enjoyed a workshop with Jamie where they got to try out some of the instruments for themselves.
Cuckoo Class had fun with the glockenspiels. We had to learn a song about days of the week, singing in English and Spanish. We had to accompany the song with the notes F, G and A.
Bruton Choral Society came into school and performed a short Christmas concert for the whole school. They performed traditional carols as well as more fun, upbeat songs. The children became musical accomplices in a rousing version of 'Jingle Bells'
King's School Musical Performance for the pupils of Bruton Primary School.
We were treated to a showcase from the Thursday orchestra club. They played us a couple of songs and led us all in a sing-a-long. We loved seeing the children playing different instruments and exuding talent and confidence in front of the school. A big thank you to Mrs Seona Pritchard who leads the orchestra club.

In Cuckoo Class we have been learning to play the notes F, G and A on the glockenspiel. We have been playing them alongside a Spanish song which teaches us the days of the week.
