On Friday, we took part in a dance workshop with Emma-Jayne. We practiced making shapes with our bodies, travelling in different ways and did some fabulous choreography to a George Ezra song. To calm us down at the end of the session, we had a shiny piece of material that we had to try and move with our bodies.

We had a lovely morning at Bruton Museum. We were able to look at a collection of old toys that had been specially gathered for us as well as exploring the museum and the treasures that were in it! The children loved it and were all so well behaved, listened intently and had some really great questions for Sass.

We have been looking at tens and ones in Maths. Today we have been putting a number of objects into groups of ten and counting how many groups we have.

In PSHE, we have started looking at self-care. We have been talking about things that keep our minds and bodies healthy. Today we taste tested some apples after discussing healthy foods. We tried a Gala, Golden Delicious and a Bramley. Surprisingly, the Bramley apple was the most popular!

We had some very special visitors this week! We had Teddies from the last 100 years in class. A lady called Mrs Cornish kindly let us borrow her Teddies from the 1920's. We also had Mrs Stokes's bear George from the 1950's and Mrs Hambleton's bear Fred from the 1980's. We compared the bears to see what was the same and what was different.

We created some beautiful poppy art for Remembrance Day. We printed the poppies onto a painted background and we proudly displayed them to the rest of the school during our Remembrance Service.

We had a fantastic day of robot fun to help us launch our interactive maths programme NumBots! The children all looked fab in their costumes and we enjoyed the robot and rockstars parade in the playground. We also played NumBots with the help of some Year 6 children.
