Visits/ Visitors
We had a very interesting visit from Victoria and Flo (who run Scott Williams - a travel company specializing in the Ionian Islands). They painted a wonderful picture of the islands and were a wealth of knowledge to the children . Lots of questions were asked and this has really helped us with our Quest and English where we are currently fact finding about these islands. Mabel also helped her mum and granny as she has been visiting Paxos since she was a baby.
We had a visit from Kirstie McLeod (Bodhi's mum) who is a textile artist who hold us all about her career and what it means to be a textile artists. The children all got to see (and hold fabrics) which were created using different techniques. It was incredibly interesting and inspiring for the children and it has definitely given them lots of ideas for their own textile project.
We had such an informative visit from the gardeners from The Newt where we found out all about plants that grow in the South West of England and plants that grow in the Mediterranean and why they thrive in different conditions.
