Summer Two
Summer Two
Two Coasts: One Europe
This is a Geography- based topic where the children will be comparing the Greek Ionian Islands to the South West. The aim is to start off with finding out:
- where each continent is located
- where Europe is
- which countries make up Europe
And then move onto comparing the two different regions and their human and physical features. They will look at the lines of longitude and latitude and see how this affects time zones.
At the end of the Quest , we are planning on having a 'holiday' day where the children will dress as if they were on holiday in either Greece or the South West and cook and sample some of their regional foods.
