Today we took part in a British Values workshop where the children took part in various activities to help then learn about the values of mutual respect, rule of law, democracy and individual liberty.

We had a lovely visit to the library as part of Bruton Boost Wellbeing Event. The children met the author and illustrator Mike Brownlow who showed the children his books and explained the process of how books are made and published. The highlight was doing a 'draw-a-long' monster with Mike.

The children had a visit from Magic Lantern where they discovered the stories behind Indian art. It was fascinating to find out about brushes being made my the hairs from a squirrel's tail and to see an ancient painting with an elephant on a boat.

As an exciting start to this term's topic of Judaism in RE, we had a really interesting visit from Nicola Mendoza-Wilson and her daughter Leah who live locally and follow the Jewish faith. They shared a Presentation highlighting the things that are key to Judaism. We saw an example of Hebrew writing and learnt how it is written and read from right to left and learnt how the Jewish equivalent to the Christian Bible is in fact a scroll including the Torah.
