Autumn Two

Our Quest this half term is:

CAVES TO CLANS

We will be finding out about the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. As historians, the children will be creating a timeline and learning about how artefacts have helped us to find out about these times. We will be looking at cave art, the homes and diets of these people and why this time period was so significant. To enhance this Quest the children will be visiting Stonehenge.

Homework

The main priority is reading. We hope your children will read at least four times a week. As they become more fluent in reading, they may wish to read independently - please still note that they have read in their reading diary. We would expect children to do a quiz every two weeks - now that they are reading chapter books. 

Spellings - we will send home a spelling homework sheet on Fridays - this needs to be completed by the following Thursday. If your child would like to, they can also practise these spellings on Ed Shed (log-in and password are in their reading diary).

Quest Homework is to be completed by the end of each half term. We would expect the children to do this mainly on their own with some adult guidance!

Maths - the children each have a log in for TT Rockstars.
