Mr Kershaw, from Ansford Academy, led a workshop on dissecting hearts. We were able to identify the different chambers, vessels as well as valves.
We made blood whilst learning about the different components and their functions including: plasma, white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets.
Year 5 and 6 visited Hauser & Wirth to view the exhibition "Niki de Saint Phalle & Jean Tinguely: Myths & Machines"
Year 5 and 6 made beam/arch bridges and tested them to find out which held the most weight, before using corrugation and lamination to make the bridges more rigid
Year 5 have been learning to play "Jingle bells" on the glockenspiels.
Year 6 have a weekly djembe drum lesson with Mr Large
