In EMA this week the children made Union Jack mini flags ready for their Best of British tea party. What neat colouring everyone.
The children have worked so hard and behaved amazingly so as a treat they collectively earned a film and popcorn afternoon. What fun was had watching The Queen's Corgie in Dove Class Cinema
In maths we have been consolidating and embedding our learning. We did a carousel of activities where we practised multiplication and division - concretely and pictorially. The children also practised multiplication and division facts on the interactive whiteboard.
In English we have been making postcards sent from famous landmarks of London. The children remembered to use past tense, time connectives and descriptive language.
We enjoyed a virtual workshop from The Jewish Museum on Thursday morning. We discussed the Torah scroll, how it is made and the language it is written in. Did you know that you have to practise writing Hebrew for 10 years before you can become a Torah scribe!
The finale of our topic was a 'Best of British' tea party. We made sandwiches and fruit kebabs, went on an open top bus tour of London, stopped at Hyde park for a tea party picnic and even met the King and Queen. We listened to music from Last Night at the Proms and waved our flags feeling very British indeed!
