Our first swimming lesson of the year. It was a little cold but the children had a brilliant time.
Wessex Water visit
Today we had a visit from a lady from Wessex Water. She spoke to us about the Water Cycle and wasting water.
We asked questions like, "How long does the Water Cycle take?" and "How can we save water when we shower?"
We also found out lots of interesting facts such as, there are 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 water droplets in existence e.g. surface water, water in the air and in our bodies etc.
Using a glass of boiling water, we placed a tin tray of ice on top the glass. As the water began to evaporate, it caused condensation and water droplets formed on the edge of the glass and the bottom of the tin tray.
We used our window frames to capture an image and then we copied what we saw into our books. We also measured the clouds using fractions.
