In Quest this week, we have continued to learn about states of matter. We performed in groups as solids, liquids and gases and other groups had to guess our state! We also acted like scientists when we explored reversible changes of state by holding ice and observing steam. We imagined that we were raindrops and thought about where we might end up!
In English, we noticed figurative language in our narrative, The Rhythm of the Rain. We created our own similes to describe different settings and characters, like the car was as red as a tomato. We even used metaphors, like the candyfloss clouds! We also used personification to describe some characters in the story, e.g. the trees waved to the animals.
We were detectives and used apostrophes to describe the appearance of some pirates!
In maths, we used our times table facts to fill in times table flowers at the start of one of our lessons. Some of us filled in 10 flowers, one person even filled in 21 flowers! We kept practising multiplication and division and looked at different methods.
