On Wednesday the children braved the weather to go outdoors and plant their beans in a bag. The children had to follow instructions to plant their very own seed inside a clear bag. We have stuck them onto the window in the classroom and are looking forward to seeing the growth process unfold before us!
We have been painting daffodils using watercolours. The children took great care with their observational paintings and produced some fantastic artwork!
On Thursday, we were looking at symmetry. One of the challenges for the children was to create a pattern or picture out of 2D shapes that was symmetrical. They had to check it with a mirror. Here is Lauren and Reid's symmetrical house.
We have started exploring 3D shapes. Today we discussed and looked at the faces on some 3D shapes. We sorted them into different groups according to their faces.
