This week the children have become engrossed in the book "The pebble in my pocket" where we are following the journey of how a pebble is formed over the last 480 million years. We have also used the text to learn about nouns, adjectives and verbs as well as prepositions of time, place and cause. Hopefully we can use these in our own writing over the next few weeks.
In Maths we have been learning about Roman numerals as well as completing simple addition and subtractions involving Roman numerals. We have also been counting in 10s, 25s and 50s and identifying the patterns we noticed.
Our quest has taken us to the centre of the Earth identifying the different layers before we travelled from continent to continent locating famous volcanoes. We also learnt about the Ring of Fire and tectonic plates.
During computing we discussed internet safety and in French we have greeted each other.
We were lucky enough to go swimming again this week with Mr Baggs and Mr Daniels led our PE lesson.
We ended the week learning about the colour wheel and mixing Primary colours to make secondary colours. We then created our own layers of the Earth pictures.
