Summer 1

Welcome back for the summer term; we hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday.

This half term is a shorter term, especially with the bank holiday, however we have still managed to plan lots of exciting learning. We will be answering the question "How does it live and how does it survive?" in relation to flowering plants this half term. Please see the parent overview attached with more detail for each subject.

Changes to the environment and how this impacts living things.

We thought very carefully about those situations when being resilience was very important and we all agreed that during difficult challenges it was particularly important. We completed a range of activities including exploring different tools we could use to build our resilience such as taking a deep breath or counting to 10.

We applied some of the strategies we discussed when trying to build a tower of cards and get a hula hoop from one side of the line to the other using our bodies and not our hands. It was very tricky!

The children enjoyed a morning session of cricket by All Stars. They learnt lots of new skills and got to practise their bowling and batting skills.
