Our learning focus this week was hobbies. We had lots of visitors who shared their hobbies with us and we shared our hobbies too! We learnt about the choir and bell ringing at St Mary's Church in Bruton. Some of us are now part of the church choir!
We were shown how to groom dogs by the winner of Pooch Perfect! We had lots of fun meeting Vivien the dog and brushing matted fur.
We learnt about different art techniques from an artist!
We were also shown how to capture the perfect photograph, such as flying a team all the way to Africa to take a photo for a drinks advert!
We were coached in football and developed lots of skills such as dribbling, shooting and working in a team!
We learnt about the army such as the hundreds of different roles. We were even taught how to march!
We learnt more about the role of a doctor and how to look after people.
We learnt about embroidery. Our visitor had embroidered clothes for Stormzy, Cold Play and Boy George!
We learnt about open water swimming, such as different animals that you might meet and places that you can swim in, including Loch Ness.
A famous leather expert taught us about leather jewellery and other products.
We developed lots of tennis skills and worked well in a team.
We learnt about, looked at and went in military vehicles! We also held helmets, guns and bullets.
