We hope you have had a wonderful, relaxing half term and managed to enjoy it despite the weather. We return to school with more changes happening nationally but at least we can still be together at school. This half term during our quest, we will be learning about The Ancient Egyptians. Please see the planning overview below to find out more details. As always, please come and speak to us or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
An email was sent out today regarding an Egyptian Workshop happening with Eagle and Falcon class on Tuesday 1st December.
To fully immerse themselves in the day we are inviting the children to dress up for the day. On the email we have attached 2 documents as well as sending home hard copies. The first document provides ideas for what the children can wear (they can choose to be an Egyptologist or an Ancient Egyptian). Please do not feel like you need to spend a lot of money on an outfit. The document gives ideas of how to create a simple costume, especially being an Egyptogolgist as these are clothes your child would have anyway.
The second document includes some additional accessories for the day - a mortuary tag with an Egyptian name on it as well as collar and bracelet.
As Tuesday is the children's PE day we have managed to swap our slot with another class so they will need to wear their PE kits on Monday and Wednesday next week.
Monday - PE kit
Tuesday - Egyptian workshop dressing up
Wednesday - PE kit
Thursday - school uniform
Friday - school uniform
We can't wait to see their costumes next week
